Marc Goldberg is an IT strategist who has been successfully helping multi-million dollar companies improve productivity and performance within the technology sector for over 16 years. In his current role as Technology Management Advisor to renowned companies Epix, Tumblr, Image Metrics, and Next New Networks, Mr. Goldberg uses his visionary leadership to offer scalable solutions that consistently deliver results. Mr. Goldberg is highly sought after for his extensive knowledge of technology architecture, Internet applications, CDN management, integration and organization management, video delivery, as well as his ability to bring technology projects to very large scale.
Prior to consulting, Mr. Goldberg was Head of Technology/CTO for Next New Networks, the leading publisher of original online television programming. He built the technology team from the ground up and guided the development and implementation of all advertising, operational, and corporate technology. This included hands-on development of a video content management system, integration of several CDN partners, integration of display and video advertising delivery platforms, automating syndication to partners and creation of reporting tools.
While at Gemstar-TV Guide, Inc., the leading provider of television guidance products, Mr. Goldberg was the Director of Web Services Engineering. He was hand-picked by the CTO to manage the redesign and launch of the next generation TV Guide portal. He used his extensive technology acumen to address scaling issues, CDN integration, and instituted development processes and life-cycle management.
In his time prior to joining Gemstar, Mr. Goldberg held several positions in the Technologies Division at AOL. He built and managed numerous talented teams and organizations, all of which were tasked with scaling AOL's proprietary architecture on big iron Unix servers or commodity Linux servers. One of Mr. Goldberg's most impressive feats involved leading his team's Web Proxy Infrastructure to enable 3 million simultaneously signed-in members to access 15 billion URLs per day. Mr. Goldberg received his B.S. in Information Technology from American Intercontinental University. He is an engaging public speaker and active internet participant who enjoys biking, photography and amateur radio.
